- Recharge Plug-in Hybrid: Previously called T8, Volvo Recharge models combine a twincharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor and battery pack. The resulting PHEV powertrain generates a robust 400 horsepower and 472 pound-feet of torque while enabling an all-electric driving range of 18 to 22 miles depending on the model. The Recharge PHEV variant is available across the Volvo lineup, except on the XC40, which gets the all-electric powertrain.
- Recharge Pure Electric: Volvo's first-ever fully-electric model, the XC40 Recharge P8, is powered by a 78 kWh battery pack and an electric motor on each axle. With 402 horsepower and 487 pound-feet of near-instantaneous torque, the XC40 Recharge can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in under 4.7 seconds. A 208-mile range and makes it perfect for Little Rock drivers seeking an emissions-free commute. And with a 150 kW DC fast charger, the XC40 Recharge can refill the battery from ten to 80 percent in around 40 minutes.
